Exandal is the largest producer and exporter of Fair Trade certified Tara Gum, Tara Powder and Protein from Tara Seed in the world.

We are the only company in Peru that produces Tara powder with the highest tannin content and the lowest iron content because we use stainless steel equipment.

Tara Gum
 

It is a hydrocolloid obtained by dry grinding of the endosperm of Tara seeds.

Benefits and uses:

  • Stabilizer, thickener, improves viscosity.
  • Provides no color or flavor.
  • Soluble in cold and hot, interacting synergistically with LBG, carrageenan, xanthan gum, agar agar, among others.
  • Low calorie, low sodium, gluten free, allergen free, vegetable fiber, natural, healthy and dietary product.

  • Dairy products: ice cream, yogurt, cheese, among others.

Tara Powder
 

It is a vegetable tannin obtained by pulverizing the Tare Pods.

Tannery:

Provides higher resistance to breakage, non-toxic alternative to chrome, resulting in shiny, light-resistant and softer leathers.

Pharmaceutical:

Gallic acid for antioxidant use.

Drinks:

Used for the fermentation of wines and beers.
